We are an adult dance studio offering Centre Wellington a space to grow as dancers, and as community members through conflict transformation services.

OUR MISSION is to cultivate fearless spaces where personal expression flows freely, where movement is fluid, exploratory, and transformative, and where dialogue and reflection meet artistry.

OUR VISION is to reimagine the intersections of dance and mediation, offering spaces where play, presence, and transformation coexist.

DROP IN CLASSES

  • Ballet

    A study in precision and grace. This class uses ballet foundations to build consistent anatomical awareness, focusing on fluid transitions, drills, and aesthetics.

    Open to all Levels

  • Contemporary expressions

    An exploration of weight, momentum, and floor work. Contemporary dance style bridges the gap between technical mastery and raw, emotive expression.

    Intermediate level classes move from the floor to standing, and require knowledge of how to safely do so and ability to make accommodations based on your unique body needs.

    Open to all Levels, this class incorporates floor work.

  • Gentle Dance

    An approachable entry point into storytelling through movement. This class focuses on rhythmic coordination and memory in a low-impact, supportive atmosphere.

    Please note our studio is only accessible by staircase and there is no accessible washroom on site.

  • Jazzercise Workout

    Jazzercise is a fun class to improve mobility, balance, and strength. This class uses cardio training techniques inspired by Jazz Funk, Jazzercise, and Dance Fit Classes. Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace, all levels accommodated.

  • Jazz Funk Expressions

    A celebration of rhythm and dynamic energy. Rooted in syncopation and character, this class is all about relationship to the music and the body as an instrument. Expect jazz technique with modern style.

    Open to all Levels, this class incorporates floor work.

  • Line Dance

    Learn steps and sequences perfect for the dance floor. Country, pop, and other common dances. Indoor shoes only please!

    The perfect entry point for any adult looking to experience a variety of dance styles in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

  • Floor Barre

    An efficient session focused on the core and mobility of the mover. We use functional movement exercises to build the physical foundation required for fearless artistry.

  • Femme Expressions

    An empowering exploration of sensuality, lines, and performance. This class celebrates the movement aesthetics of Burlesque, Frame-Up Heels, and Caribbean Dance through stylistic movement that emphasizes confidence and presence.

    Open to all Levels, this class incorporates floor work.

  • Baby and Me dance and stretch

    This class focuses on rhythmic coordination and memory in a low-impact, supportive atmosphere. Get a groove on, have a dance party, take time for your body with other moms.

    Best with babies in a carrier. There are stairs so no stroller entrance!

  • Burlesque

    Empower yourself to learn a sensual art form, with theatrical, soul, and sensual undertones. Have fun, be silly, and be sexy in a supportive environment! The use of chairs, gloves, and other props are frequent in this class!

Immersion Programs

  • conflict transformation

    In an intimate group setting, weekly activities will incorporate dialogue, movement, and reflection. For those seeking perspectives on conflict and working with others. Please bring your own mat and a water bottle, and prepare to engage with your fellow participants!

  • Swan Lake Full Moon meditation

    Join us to uncover the magic and mystery of the story of Swan Lake. Each session will provide an in-depth analysis of the timeless ballet, alongside a guided meditation to the themes that make this story deeply moving, across generations and cultures.

    As a full moon gathering, this session coincides with the natural rhythms that offer a “slow storytelling” opportunity, acknowledging that in this fast-paced world, we rarely take time to absorb the true teachings from the stories we consume.

    Please bring a mat, water bottle, and comfortable clothing. All welcome.

    The Wild West is calling you to show us your steps! In an ORIGINAL line dance, we will embody the character and charm of traditional country and blues line dance.

    Performance Series are a low-pressure environment to grow as a dancer. This is an opportunity for individualized feedback, confidence building, and grow your spacial awareness. All levels will be accommodated!

    Contemporary Dance highlights storytelling and emotion, big swoops, tension, and release. This is a perfect opportunity to learn from the TwinMoon Collective, about their unique contemporary flow and building connection with others while you dance!

  • jazz funk

    If you have an interest in unique rhythms and deep grooves, this is the style that uses strength and power to build tension and expand your range as a dancer with musicality, attitude, and energy. Learn how Jazz has developed over time, and impacted the commercial dance forms you see today.

  • femme style dance

    Femme dance focuses on celebrating femininity - from the dark and moody sensual music, to the empowered girlie pop beats. The style has been influenced by Caribbean Dancehall, Heels, and Frame-Up Strip. Think slinky, body-positive, and captivating.

    We will not be wearing heels for this performance (bare feet)
